Specifically, our areas of expertise relevant to Discovery opportunities are flight dynamics mission analysis, planning, and mission operations, including early phase requirements definition and mission concept development. Precision orbit determination, maneuver planning, trajectory design, and attitude planning in mission operations are core aspects that ADS brings to system engineering and mission operations. Ground data system design, flight dynamics systems deployment, tracking plan development, end-to-end testing, and flight dynamics risks are essential components in the mission operations plan that we understand, and are additional areas where we bring value. Current and recent NASA-funded missions where ADS has provided our flight dynamics expertise are Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE), Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX), Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2), Lunar CRater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS), and Van Allen Probes (formerly RBSP).

For the 2014-2015 Discovery round, consider partnering with Ecliptic.
Ecliptic is the world's leading provider of video systems for use on rockets and spacecraft -- the RocketCam product family -- with over 120 mission successes, including nearly 20 spacecraft applications. Another RocketCam system is launched every 4-8 weeks.
Core Ecliptic skills include rugged avionics, sensors, payload and experiment control and data handling, bandwidth management, embedded software and related testing protocols. Ecliptic-supplied avionics controlled the entire payload for NASA's LCROSS mission (2009); Ecliptic video systems were employed on both NASA GRAIL spacecraft as the anchor for the project's successful MoonKAM E/PO effort.
Variants of these systems can be employed on Discovery missions to enhance situational awareness during key mission events, to control payloads and manage their data flows, and to provide compelling video and imagery for project stakeholders and E/PO initiatives.
With over 325 contracts completed for over 80 different customers since 2001, Ecliptic is known as a responsive and cost-effective project partner.
